The Mask

We hide behind masks
Grotesque plastic falsehoods 
In our deep hurt wonder why
No one reaches out
As we retreat
Yet Jesus reaches out
A still small voice 
Offering hope, healing and life
In responding 
Gain confidence 
To drop the mask
Learning to live 
In the light of His love
Finally, abundantly 
And truly free.
