Looking for a book to help you write for publication from the ground up? Check out Especially for the Christian Writer.
Example:
Summary from the chapter on writing a press release.
Be specific (the 5 Ws & H in proper format and focus: Who, What, When, Where, Why and How.)
Be timely (learn the publisher’s lead time and have the Press Release to the editor in plenty of time)
Be accurate (Very important. Ads may exaggerate, your Press Release should not.)
Be brief If the information doesn’t directly effect the subject, leave it out.
