In our own strength we know fear. Only God, and our faith in Him, can help us take those steps to not so much avoid fear, but to walk through it, resting our confidence in His protection, provision and, most of all, His peace.
Victory comes by not focusing on
our feelings,
our failures
or our fears.
Victory comes from focusing on our faith, on Christ who never lets us go.
Isaiah 12:2 (KJV) Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (GW) Be strong and courageous. Don’t tremble! Don’t be afraid of them! The Lord your God is the one who is going with you. He won’t abandon you or leave you.
Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
Help me, Lord, trust You when fear raises its head. Amen.
