I deal in hope : Carolyn R Scheidies

Poetry His Helping Hand

You have also given me the shield of Your salvation:
and Your right hand has held me up,
and Your gentleness has made me great.
You have enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip. Psalm 18:35-36

Though stress slashes the day,
Seeking to trip us along our way,
Our Lord holds out a steadying hand,
Frustration, temptations to help us withstand.
As I struggle through each day,
I’ll cling tightly to Him along the way,
Trusting Christ to lead, defend,
To guide and keep me until the end.

Sometimes when I pray, it seems my prayers go no higher than my head. Help me, Lord, cling to Your promises even in the dark times
of frustration, sorrow, pain, and confusion. Amen.
