I deal in hope : Carolyn R Scheidies

Devotions Poetry God’s Gift—Hope & Grace

Galatians 2:16 (KJV) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

It isn’t something I can grasp
Not tradition, Not genetics
Nothing I do brings God’s favor, not His
Blessing or Forgiveness
Salvation or Peace
Nothing except…Recognizing the truth
I cannot earn or work my way to Heaven
Or into God’s good graces
It is all a gift
It is accepting what Jesus sacrificed for me
–His life
That I Might have life in Him
Now and forever, As I bow and follow

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
