I can rationalize my sin to myself.
I can often hide what I think and do
from those around me.
I protest I am a good person.
But God knows the truth.
Deep down, so do I.
Or I wouldn’t protest so much.
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:
but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him
with whom we have to do. —Hebrews 4:13
Help me, Lord, be honest with myself, others and You.
Help me choose repentance rather than rebellion
and live my life for You, not hiding from You. Amen.
