Ecclesiastes 10:1-2 Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking odor: so does a little folly cancel out a reputation for wisdom and honor. A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.
We’ve all known or heard of those whose one bad choice destroyed their life and, often, the lives of others either physically, emotionally and/or spiritually.
One bad choice can change the course of our lives. But, one positive choice can also change our lives. As each wrong choice makes the next wrong choice easier, so each positive choice makes us more the person we want to be–individuals of integrity and honor.
God calls for us to think before we act and make positive choices that we will be not only people of His blessing, but someone we like–ourselves.
Ecclesiastes 10:12-13 (KJV) The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.
