In His name I sit and pray
Seek to live out His teaching every day
Wonder why I feel a void inside
Until I stop, actually listen, hear Him say
Not by your own power, but by Mine.
Faith is a walk, not one of sight
But trusting He who leads from darkness to light,
Emotionally, spiritually. Finally,…
Ah, His message dawned inside
I realized the truth
Faith isn’t about religion,
Tradition, useless repetition
Or practice—daily, weekly.
Not about rote or self-flagellation
The mumbling of mantras.
Faith is Knowing Jesus
Who Lived, died, rose again for you and me
An example of love, hope, truth, the Way,
Changing hearts and lives as He
Guides us to His amazing grace.
