Jesus keep me near the cross,
humble repentant, reaching out,
Through good times and loss.
Confident not in self or wealth,
or my arrogance of thinking
I know what life’s all about.
Because it’s not about me,
but about You who created and loved me.
You who lived and sacrificed your life for mine.
Rose again to offer not
Only hope and peace,
but also abundant life for today,
for tomorrow and for all eternity
as I bow and follow—
Heart, soul and mind.
