At times, I fear many things in life,
(Even when I pretend otherwise.)
Finances
Future,
The constant struggle and juggling of
Health and relationships.
Yet, as I muddle through, I find,
Even in the scariest of situations,
Even in a vortex of the darkest of nights,
When I turn to Him,
Jesus brings security and safety,
Wisdom and insight,
Understanding and hope,
And the joy of life.
When the Psalmist writes in Psalms 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation;
“whom shall I fear?
“the Lord is the strength of my life;
“of whom shall I be afraid?” I know that
With Christ as Lord and guide,
I can start to leave fear behind,
Because no matter what the circumstance today
Or who the foe,
I can trust Him always, knowing …
Jesus is now, here, near
Holding me close
To His heart.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear:
because fear has torment.
He that fears is not made perfect in love. –1 John 4:18
