I deal in hope : Carolyn R Scheidies

Poetry: The Anatomy of the Death and Life of Relationships and Civil Discourse

Wrap self and position in pride.
Never seek to understand the “other” side.
Let revenge and fury ride.
Respond in kind.
Tear down, deride,
Decide to nourish anger, bitterness,
Revenge and hate deep down inside.
Not realizing it’s not about “sides,”
But what evil Satan hides
About something too seldom tried…
Following God’s values,
His Word, His will, His way,
Of truth and caring, kindness and love,
Allowing Christ to live within,
Committing to—no matter what,
Taking the high road,
Letting anger go and simply,
Abiding in Him.
