Though life will bring its trials,
And sorrows not a few,
I thank You Lord for Your great love,
To lead and guide me through.
Whatever happens in my life,
The whole cannot compare,
To the cruelty of the tortuous cross,
And what You suffered for me there.
Unwillingly I face my trials,
But You offered Yourself for me,
As I give my life to You,
I’m forgiven and set free.
Daily as You walk with me,
Holding tightly to my hand,
I’m secure in knowing,
I am safe within Your plan.
So as I meet my problems,
By faith I trust in Thee,
Confident my Savior-Friend,
Will always be with me.
For You are ever present,
Leave us not alone,
Today and through eternity, Lord,
You are still on the throne.
Lord, when things overwhelm me, help me cling to You,
letting You fill me with Your peace, that
I might face the day in a way which honors You. Amen.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
