I deal in hope : Carolyn R Scheidies

Devotion: Thoughtless Words

We read about studies revealing how devastating ridicule can be. It seems almost natural to make fun of those who are different in some way.

Whoso mocks the poor reproaches his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished. —Proverbs 17:5

We don’t need to spend billions in studies for something common sense and God’s Words tells us is true. Words as well as actions hurt.

Knowing God’s Word makes a difference, acting on it more so. Can I claim to follow God if I put down those who are different from me?

Forgive me, Jesus.
