I haven’t much wisdom to impart. I have been fighting a nasty cold since Christmas. Just when I think things are better, it cycles back again. At least, I can sleep lying down and not sitting up as I did for several nights.
That’s not to say my sleep is uninterrupted. I get up coughing or blowing. Yesterday, I stayed home from church and slept. Didn’t think I should be around anyone else. I never sleep in the morning, but I did. Then took a nap in the afternoon as well.
I’m going into the New Year stuffed up and coughing and wondering where 2018 went. Much happened this year with son Chris’ oldest son graduating from high school, Keith’s retirement, too-long-in-coming Fredrickson reunion, Keith’s dad deciding it was time to move to a home and the birth of another child to our daughter Cassie & Kurt—a grandson.
Yet I look back and it all went by too fast. But…I look forward to a new year, knowing no matter what, God’s got this. I know I can trust Him with my life, my health, my family and my future. You can, too.
Proverbs 3:5-8 (NKJV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
Good verses to memorize and on which to meditate.
Blessings in the New Year
