I deal in hope : Carolyn R Scheidies

Poetry: A Special Gramma

Along with the falling snow,
trimming the tree,
placing the manger scene…just so, and
hanging the traditional wreath,
Along with the stress of shopping
for that perfect present,
driving miles and miles
to a less than perfect Christmas pageant,
comes bone weary exhaustion.
Yet on Christmas morning
when you hear
a grandchild’s cry of delight,
you know, that for love
you’ll do it all again…
next year.
