I deal in hope :

Rest and Trust

We’re horrified when a criminal is let go without the punishment we believe they deserve. Makes us angry, feeling we cannot trust our courts and those who should protect us. Such things make us feel less secure. Even with security, we cannot prevent all bad things from happening.

No matter what precautions we take for our safety, and we do need to use common sense, life happens. We cannot predict many illnesses, accidents or catastrophes. That can be scary. Yet, wallowing in fear is not the answer, because fear paralyzes.

The answer is to turn to the one who created, loves and cares for us. The solution is to have such a close relationship with Jesus that we can rest secure not just in the knowledge of our eternal destiny, but also in trusting Him as our protector, provider and our peace here and now.

Psalm 3:5 KJV I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Today I will trust and not live in fear.
