Proverbs 20:3 (KJV) It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
It is easy to say or do something to push someone’s buttons. At times it seems almost fun to stir up trouble. Then there is our response when someone angers us. Easy to respond in kind.
Yet, how can we talk about world peace, when we don’t consider our words and attitudes so we aren’t either starting or escalating a volatile situation? Peace begins with God’s love inside. That means seeking and pursuing peace with truth and without revenge.
World peace begins with peace inside you and me. God’s peace changes the way we live and treat others—starting with our spouse, family, neighbors and those who are different from that with which we’re comfortable.
Proverbs 20:11, 22 (KJV) Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. …Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
What better way to know peace than to ask the Prince of Peace, Jesus, to help you know His peace that passes all understanding.
